about

GAZOGENE is my first collaborative album with rob crooks.

rob made all the beats, we both rapped on it and it was a lot of fun to make. aside from individual tracks over production by Olivia Bigelow (USA), Ren Noir (Scotland), and Noblonski (Germany), this was my first experience writing and recording a whole project using someone else's beats. i love rob's vinyl-focused approach to sample-based hip-hop production so it was very exciting clicking my mouse on the beat pack. i recorded all my vocals in one session at rob's place. i also sourced some of the audio clips used throughout and helped with various post-production.

this album was created in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
